Area School on the beautiful East Cape need a full time English Social Studies teacher to start work in late January (term 1) 2021.

Our client is an East Cape Area School and they are looking for an English Social Studies teacher for a full-time start in the new school year January 2021

The Principal says: “We are excited at the opportunity to recruit a hard working, engaging humanities (English) specialist to join our whole of school team working across years 1-13. The successful applicant must be passionate about English Language and Literature and be keen to teach social studies in the humanities curriculum.”

The school is long-established with strong iwi affiliations and teachers are eligible for both the Isolation and the High Priority Teacher Supply Allowances. A Management unit may also be available for a suitable candidate and school housing is available at a very cheap rate. As well as this the east cape has many attractions such as tramping, fishing, diving and other water based activities.

Positive and caring, fully trained experienced teachers are encouraged to apply but they will consider dynamic beginner teachers.  Application from NZ based overseas trained teachers willing to adapt to NZ conditions and who wish to join a progressive and supportive department. All applicants must be NZ teacher registered (or pending) and hold or have eligibility for a work visa.
