South Auckland Secondary Campus need a full-time teacher of Te Reo Maori Y9-10 to start in late January (term 1) 2021

Our client is a South Auckland High School Campus and they are looking for a Te Reo Maori teacher, for a full-time start in January 2021

We are looking for a fantastic Matua or Whaea of Maori –  who can demonstrate a commitment to improving Te Reo me ona Tikanga in their students and across the school and who will be an effective participant in Kahui ako, be culturally responsive, and practice Te Kotahitanga. We need a committed, passionate teacher who is personally and professionally committed to giving effect to Te Tiriti and addressing inequity for Māori. The position is for Junior Maori but a sufficient proficiency in Te Reo and a full commitment to communicative language instruction is an essential skill all applicants must possess.

Qualified, registered teachers who meet these criteria are encouraged to apply and we will consider highly motivated beginner teachers. Joining a fun energetic team achieving great things under a new Principal, you will be expected to participate fully in the co-curricular life of the school with an implicit willingness to teach and nurture according to the principles of Te Tirito o Waitangi. All applicants must be NZ teacher registered (or pending) and hold or have eligibility to work in Aotearoa NZ.
