Full time NZ registered ICT Specialist needed for an Auckland High School Campus: commences term 1 2022
What an opportunity to make a difference! We are looking for a switched-on, Digital technology-ICT-Computing Teacher to join a dynamic team of educators in a permanent teaching post in our multi-cultural Pasifika High School in Auckland, New Zealand.
The school is located in NZ’s largest, most culturally diverse city, Auckland and we are looking for an experienced Digital technology-ICT-Computing (TIC) teacher in charge to commence a permanent post in term 1, late January 2020. Our school serves a largely Pacific Island – Maori local community. The students in many cases come from first or second-generation families who moved to New Zealand for a better life and for better opportunities for their children. Our school has gone through a period of significant improvement in the past five years and we are committed to increasing the number of students who go on to degree-level study.
We are looking for a dedicated practitioner who will be a team player, reliable, motivated and someone who can inspire and excite our students. Applicants will ideally have experience of delivering the UK (or similar) High School ICT Computing curriculum to all school year levels. Industry experience in areas of leading-edge computing such as, software development, robotics, 3 D print, cloud networking, digital design technologies, mobility, productivity and or creative technologies would be a great asset.
All applicants must be qualified teachers with a degree and trained-teacher qualification. Remuneration will depend on qualifications and experience and will be set according to the state pay scale as laid out in the NZ secondary teachers’ contract.
